Privacy Statement
Use of student email accounts shall be governed in accordance with
all Federal, State of California, California State University and
CSUB codes and regulations. CSUB student email files and messages
are considered confidential. However, support personnel may access
files when required for the maintenance of University computing systems
and networks. When performing system maintenance, every effort will be
made to ensure the privacy of a user's files. Support personnel will not
access email accounts, unless authorized by the Vice President of Information
Resources or his/her designee.
Student email accounts will not be deleted as long as the student is considered
eligible to enroll, as defined by the Office of Admissions and Records. It is
the student's responsibility to retrieve messages from their accounts; CSUB
will assume no responsibility for information deleted/lost by accounts that have
expired.
